Perhaps the most well-known and loved areas of Spokane is south of Interstate 90 that cuts the greater Spokane in two. The South Hill is a collection of several neighborhoods that feature some of the most beautiful and historic homes in the Pacific Northwest and surrounded by equally as majestic Manito and Comstock Parks.
Because of its architectural and natural beauty, South Hill homes tend to have some of the highest cost per square foot in the region. But they certainly hold (and increase) their value!
For the purpose of organizing geography, South Spokane goes far beyond the just South Hill. It spans to the southern outskirts of Hangman Valley, Freeman, and Valleyford–wonderful bedroom communities of Spokane.
Some of the communities and neighborhoods that make up South Spokane are Cliff-Cannon, Comstock, East Central, Glenrose, Grandview/Thorpe, Latah/Hangman, Lincoln Heights, Manito/Cannon Hill, Moran Prairie, Rockwood, Southgate, The Perry District, and Valleyford.
